ControlMole
A grumpy mole who closes your apps when you doomscroll
ControlMole is a screen time app with a grumpy little mole in charge. You pick the apps that eat your day and give each one a daily limit. While you're under it, Mole cheers you on. The moment you go over, he bursts out of his molehill and closes the app for the rest of the day.
If you ask for five more minutes, he makes you answer a question first, and every snooze gets harder. He also notices the habits a timer misses: long sittings, hopping between apps and all the quick checks. Making your rules stricter is easy, but loosening them takes a wait.
The whole thing looks like a small handheld game from the mid-2000s. I modelled Mole in Blender with flat painted colours, rendered him tiny and scaled him up into crisp pixels with a one-pixel ink outline, so every screen feels a bit like a cosy little game you'd carry in your pocket.
It's free on Google Play, with no ads and no account, and nothing leaves your phone. iPhone comes later; there's a waitlist at controlmole.app.
Built with Flutter, with every pixel-art screen drawn at whole-pixel scales.
