Most calendar apps drop you into a grid and stop there. Nordic Calendar keeps the grid but layers on what a paper almanac used to tell you: whose name day it is, which flag goes up, what the moon is doing, when the sun sets, alongside the events already on your phone.

It runs as four region-specific calendars from a single Flutter codebase. Choose Finland, Sweden, Norway, or Denmark and the almanac changes underneath you: the right name days, the correct public and flag-flying days, the school breaks for that country, and holiday names in the local language.

What you get day to day:
- Name days you can drop into your calendar as yearly recurring events
- Public holidays, flag days, and traditional observances for your region
- School holidays: autumn, winter, ski, and sports breaks, plus term dates

Your calendar data stays on the device. Calendar access is used only to show your events inside the app. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
